Memorial or Honorary Donations

The Ohio County Public Library accepts gifts, donations, and will purchase memorials. Though the Library appreciates the generosity and thoughtfulness of its many patrons, as per our collection development policy, we reserve the right to evaluate all gifts, donations, and memorial requests in accordance with the criteria applied to purchased materials.  Those which do not meet the library's objectives and policies may be refused.

Bookplates may be provided for memorials and gifts, and a letter for tax purposes may be sent to the donor. The Library will notify the person or the family of person the memorial or honorary donation is being made out to if the donor so wishes. No other conditions may be imposed relating to any gift, donation, or memorial either before or after its acceptance by the library.
