An international movie and television star, John Corbett's acting in the TV series "Northern Exposure" merited eight major honors including Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 1992. John took every opportunity to mention his hometown and his Alma mater, Wheeling Central Catholic High School, on the show, which always delighted viewers from Wheeling. His breakthrough role on the big screen came with the romantic lead in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," the most successful independent film comedy ever made. Also an accomplished musician, John’s new album, Leaving Nothing Behind, is the work of an artist who grew up in the shadow of Wheeling’s famed Capitol Music Hall, just a few miles from where Brad Paisley was raised. In fact, music was always John Corbett’s first love. (Text from Legendary Locals of Wheeling)
