Summer Reading Programs
SUMMER READING 2024 BEGINS JUNE 1st.
The Ohio County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is held annually for all ages during the summer months. Every year themed displays, prize giveaways, and special programs are planned to encourage patrons, young and old, to read as many books as possible throughout the summer.
This year's summer reading theme is "Adventure Begins at Your Library"! Register at the library and receive your summer reading packet or bookmark log to begin.
How does the Summer Reading Program work this year?
➤Kids earn Summer Reading Program Tickets all summer by reading, by going on summer reading "adventures", and by coming to library programs! We always have more Tickets available at the library or you can print more at home. Register here for the Children's Department Summer Reading Program if you haven't already done so or come into the library to register and receive a welcome packet.
Program Descriptions:
➤Adults track their reading on the back of a Bookmark Log—which can be picked up within the library—and turn them in weekly for chances to win gift cards to local restaurants throughout the summer and a Kindle Fire at the end of the program!
