The Bridge Hotel in Wheeling

As far back as the 1850s, T. H. Logan & Co., later Logan, List, & Co. (1859), druggists, occupied the building on "Bridge Corner." Following the company's filing for voluntary bankruptcy in 1915, the Logan Drug Co. building reopened as the Hotel Wheeling. 

Brothers Steve and Mike Teregis purchased the hotel in 1928 and renamed it the Bridge Hotel.

The hotel was razed in 1961 by the Hawley Corporation, which had owned the property since the time of the corporation's inception in 1933. A five-story motel, the Downtowner Motor Inn, was constructed by the Hawley Corp. on the site in 1962.
