Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company Passenger Station Photographs, 1907-1908
About this collection:
➤The collection consists of photocopies of 68 photographs documenting the building of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company Passenger Station in Wheeling, West Virginia from 1907-1908. Each photograph is dated and contains the notation “Brown photo.” The photographs were likely taken by W.C. Brown, the well-known Wheeling photographer. The building is located on 17th Street from Market Street to Chapline Street. Several of the photographs depict the flood of 1907, which delayed the construction of the building. The station officially opened on September 3, 1908.
