The Ohio County Public Library Children's Department has announced the addition of evening hour Story Time programs! The new programs are titled Story Time After Dark and are geared toward children ages 4-8, though all are welcome! Story Time After Dark will be held the second and fourth Thursday each month at 6pm in the Children's Department for stories and activities. The first programs will be September 8th and 22nd at 6pm. The new programs are a great opportunity for those who cannot attend morning Story Times on Tuesday and Wednesday?
On Thursday, September 8th, attendees will explore a variety of careers! What do you want to be when you grow up? Library staff will read a story called "When I Grow Up" from Al Yankovic and activities including career charades and/or pictonary are planned! A craft will be available to design a paper shoe or shirt for your favorite career! Before you leave, you can checkout one of our many career based books that are available to take home!
Story Time After Dark will continue on Thursday, September 22nd with Johnny Appleseed Stories and activities.
Story Time programs during evening hours have previously been offered at the Ohio County Public Library. The library staff is excited to offer these programs in an effort to better serve all members of our community.
