Outreach Services Receives Memorial Donation from Sandra Renshaw Family

Sandra Renshaw was a beloved Ohio County Public Library Outreach Services patron. On Friday, March 31st, Sandra’s daughter Jean-Anne Renshaw delivered memorial donations and custom tote bags to the library in her mother’s memory. These donations and bags will be used to continue the program that her mother loved. The generous donations and bags were accepted by Julia Bachmann, Ohio County Public Library Outreach Services Specialist.

Sandra “Sandy” Jean Huggins Renshaw grew up in Pine Grove, WV and attended Pine Grove High School. After graduating from O.V.G.H. School of Nursing in 1955 she began her career as a Registered Nurse. She retired from Peterson Hospital in 1983 to take on the role as caregiver to the family’s elderly.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years: John F. “Jack” Renshaw, Jr. and one brother: Larry F. Huggins.

Her family who love and miss her include son: John F. “Jeff” Renshaw (Vivian) of Ethel, LA; and daughter: Jean-Anne Renshaw (Daniel F. Devine) of Wheeling, WV; her sister: Linda Kay Isinghood of Simpsonville, SC; grandsons: Conner and Duncan Renshaw of Ethel, LA and one granddaughter: May Anne Devine of Wheeling.

Sandra was a voracious reader who instilled a love of reading in her children. In her final years at the Continuous Care Center, books were her pleasure and escape, reading a dozen books a week.

Ohio County Public Library Outreach Services are free! Books, audiobooks, DVDs, and more can be delivered to the door of eligible patrons.
