The Ohio County Public Library will be closed Monday, September 18, 2017, while stack movers replace shelving units to their original locations and construction crews work on the canopy over the circulation desk. The library's circulation calendar has been updated so that no materials will be due on September 18, 2017. Regular library hours will resume Tuesday, September 19.
While the building will be closed for the day, access to many Library services are available remotely, including digital downloads of eBooks through WVDeli and OverDrive’s Digital Download Service, mp3 music downloads through Freegal, Instantflix’s streaming video platform, TumbleBooks which offers animated, talking picture books, read-along chapter books and more for young readers, and Zinio, the world’s largest newsstand.
The ongoing renovations at the Library include the installation of new ceilings, energy-efficient LED lights, and energy-efficient windows throughout the building.
