Library of Things Adds Baby Gear Section

The Library of Things just keeps getting bigger! Thanks to a collaboration between The Ohio County Family Resource Network and The Ohio County Public Library, we are excited to offer a baby booster seat, a baby carrier, a baby swing, a pack n play, and a stroller. These additions aim to provide assistance to parents, guardians, friends, and extended family of little ones. In addition to our kids kits, this addition expands Library offered support for those with little ones in their lives.

We are not the first to offer lending libraries for baby gear, there has been a growing trend in the United Kingdom to provide borrowable baby gear. These programs have seen great success in working as bridges for communities. There is a throughline in these programs, as in ours, of “borrow what you need, for whatever you need”.
