The OCPL will be closed Monday, May 1, 2017, to allow construction crews to prepare the Library for the next phase in the building’s ongoing renovations. New ceilings, energy-efficient LED lights, and energy-efficient windows are being installed throughout the building. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in late summer.
While the building will be closed for the day, access to many Library services are available remotely, including digital downloads of eBooks through WVDeli and OverDrive’s Digital Download Service, mp3 music downloads through Freegal, Instantflix’s streaming video platform, TumbleBooks which offers animated, talking picture books, read-along chapter books and more for young readers, and Zinio, the world’s largest newsstand.
No late fees will be applied to materials due on May 1 and regular library hours will resume Tuesday, May 2.
