Library Closed for West Virginia Day 2017

The Library will be closed on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in observance of West Virginia Day.

While we are closed for the holiday, access is available to many Library services remotely, including digital downloads of eBooks through WVDeli and OverDrive’s Digital Download Service, mp3 music downloads through Freegal, Instantflix’s streaming video platform, TumbleBooks which offers animated, talking picture books, read-along chapter books and more for young readers, and e-magazine through Zinio, the world’s largest newsstand.

Did you know Wheeling was the birthplace of West Virginia? On June 20th, stop by West Virginia Independence Hall Museum, just one block south of the library, and wish West Virginia Happy Birthday! Sign a birthday card for West Virginia, enjoy some cake, and learn about our proud state born of the Civil War. West Virginia Independence Hall is located at 1528 Market Street.

Normal library hours will resume Wednesday, June 21.
