We are pleased to offer families the opportunity to participate in programs together at the Library. These programs broaden opportunities for families to learn together, strengthening connections between parents and children. Join us for special storytimes, movies, musical performances, hands-on activities, crafts, and more at one of our special Family Programs.

October:
FIRST MONDAY FAMILY PROGRAM:
Monday, October 7th, 6 pm - Schwertfeger Shelter at Wheeling Park
- Camp Read S’More: Have some fun by firelight as we read stories, sing songs, make a lantern craft, and have s’mores.

Wednesday, October 16th, 6 pm
- Tony M Music: “Peace, Love, and Harmony” - Family Music Program and CD Release
Tony M. Music is kicking off his first CD release show with the Ohio Co. Public Library. His new album for kids and families is called, "Love, Peace, and Harmony," and contains 13 all-new original songs. Tony is a former elementary school teacher in Berkeley County, WV and has been a full-time children's musician since 2014.

- Family Movie Matinee: “Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King”
Drinks and popcorn will be provided.

November:
FIRST MONDAY FAMILY PROGRAM:
Monday, November 4th, 6 pm
- Read for the Record Thank You, Omu: Jumpstart's Read for the Record is a national campaign to bring young children together with valued grownups in their lives to read the same book, on the same day, in communities all over the world. Celebrate literacy and support Jumpstart in its efforts to promote early childhood education! To celebrate, we will read Thank You, Omu, make thank you cards, and have a bowl of beef stew-just like the story!

- Thanksgiving Cartoon and Craft: We will watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, share a snack, and make a paper turkey craft.

- Happy Holidays: We will kick off the holiday season with a fun night of stories and special holiday music by Tony M. Cookies and cocoa will be provided.

- Pittsburgh Puppet Works Presents Flurries with a Chance of Magic: Do Christmas wishes really come true? Take a journey with Zip, our spirited snowflake, as she searches for a magical place where wishes come true. She’ll learn all about the “big, jolly guy in the red suit” and meet a few special friends along the way who have Christmas wishes of their own.
