On Monday, August 21, 2017, a total eclipse of the Sun will be visible in the continental United States. This is the first total eclipse of the Sun visible from all 48 contiguous United States since 1979. While the event will appear as a partial eclipse here in Wheeling, the total eclipse will only be visible on a narrow track stretching across the United States from Oregon to South Carolina. Join the Ohio County Public Library as they broadcast NASA’s live feed of the historic total solar eclipse from 1 pm to 4 pm, Monday, August 21, in the library’s auditorium.
