➤ Born in Wheeling, Henry E. Neumann enlisted in the Army at the age of 29, listing his occupation as plumber. He served in the United States Army Battery “C” 314 Field Artillery and rose to the rank of Corporal. His parents were August and Fredericka Neumann and their residence is listed as the South Side. After serving in the war, Henry returned to Wheeling and married Jessie Irene Price on September 22, 1920. They had no children. He founded the H.E. Neumann Plumbing and Heating Company.
William Ward Price and George Dewey Price were brothers of Jessie Price Neumann and brothers-in-law of Henry E. Neumann. William W. was born on April 7, 1896 and died in May of 1966. When he enlisted he was listed as being a chauffeur for the Mendel Furniture Company in Wheeling. George Dewey Price was born on May 1, 1898 and died on January 14, 1974.
